During the painting projects, my focusing subject is “painting” itself instead of the subjects within the painting, the thing of “doing painting”, which I realized afterwards.
The project “what if all subjects are removed...”
By Setting a goal “removing all subjects and context to see what’s left” for questioning “contextualization” at that time and conducting such an experiment as the practice, I unexpectedly reached “a way to visual abstraction”, without referring to the period of art history.
